Just the most perfect hotel! We didn't want to leave. We had a beautiful room on the ground floor facing onto the lovely garden (immaculately kept). Comfortable, clean, with modern stylish furniture, and only steps from the lounge which opens onto the terrace, pool and breakfast restaurant. We looked forward to the breakfasts each day which had absolutely everything you wanted, and the most delicious croissants I've had in a long time. And the location is unbelievable.. on one side you look out onto the wild natural reserve and kitesurfing beach, and on the other it's the main beach, board walk and all the water sports shops and cafes, and you're in the town square in a few minutes. We couldn't fault the hotel even one tiny thing. The perfect place to stay to enjoy El Medano, watersports, or just sit on the loungers for a week and read. We moved to a 5-star hotel in a different part of the island after staying here, and we really regretted it! That's how good Play Sur(f) is!

We ate in the restaurant for lunch several times and once for dinner and the food was exceptional! The goats cheese salad was a favourite for lunch and we had the Lobster Paella in the evening and it was amazing! The outside bar overlooking the kite surfer beach and the red mountain is a must for sundowner drinks. The drinks are all high quality including the house wine! The breakfast is pretty average, not a great deal of choice but i feel this is reflected in the overall price of the hotel which is really good value for money. The location is amazing, right on the beach/boardwalk next to lots of cafes and shops and bars and a stones throw from the village centre. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean and really modern.

El Medano has a nice windsurfers vibe. Good place to stay for beach-time and watersports and to take rental car to discover the island ( swim in natural pools google piscinas naturales , book stargazing excursion, walk hiking trails using Komoot App , Parc de Anaga, city: La Leguna. Skip Las Americas. We stayed 7 nights. Flashpoint cafe 1 minute walk great place!

There is also a nice small restaurant where it’s the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset accompanied with some nice tunes and a few cocktails.

The rooms are really well cleaned and up together. We liked it so much we returned for our last couple of nights holiday. Thank you.
